Shanan Boyd joined New York Life as an agent in December 2008 after spending three years in the medical field. Initially starting as an Agent in the Mississippi General Office, she quickly set her sights on management opportunities and was promoted to Partner in August 2010. During her time as a Partner, she earned the South-Central Agency’s Partner of the Year and Top Recruiter accolades.
In 2016, Shanan was promoted to Senior Partner, and by January 2017, she accepted the Managing Partner role of the Knoxville General Office. Knoxville has achieved remarkable success, winning the Senior Vice President Trophy in New Org Sales, New Org Retention, Management Development, and Agent Growth in 2024. Additionally, winning the Insurance Case Rate Trophy.
In July of this year, Shanan transitioned to become the Managing Partner of the Nashville Office as well. In the Knoxville General Office and Nashville General Office combining, this allowed the merger of the Middle Tennessee and East Tennessee areas to create the Greater Tennessee General Office.
Shanan holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Mississippi. She resides in Nashville, TN, with her husband, Mark, and their three daughters, Morgan (27), Ainslee (13), and Linlee (3).
Matthew Quick began his financial services career in 2017 after earning a bachelor's degree in communication from the University of Kentucky, where he also played Division 1 Men’s Soccer. Currently pursuing an Executive MBA at Duke University, Matthew combines his academic and professional expertise to make a significant impact in East TN’s financial services industry.
Residing outside Knoxville, TN, Matthew enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife, Karie, their son, Cameron, daughter, Kylie and their pugs, Blink and Kiwi. He embodies a commitment to excellence both professionally and personally.
